Description:
The Pine Tree Radio Society has a goal of building out an emergency communications network covering all of New Hampshire.
We show newcomers to radio how to use economical, commercially-available radios and we provide training to make local communications by radio a normal and effective means for getting information in case of an emergency. We hold practice days to test our abilities and to find our weak areas, so we can improve our systems.
Our advanced radio technicians can repair and modify equipment, as well as design and build antenna systems. Our club projects include building antenna systems for other members. We have a monthly meeting to bring all our information together, then members who become radio-activists travel to other communities to present and demonstrate our state-wide plan and assist people with developing an emergency radio system in their community.
Donations help cover our club expenses and will be suggested, but not required, at every meeting.

I went to the first few meeting and got seriously good information and great hardware. These guys will train you on using radios and sell you great low-cost but feature-rich radios to get the job done day-to-day or in an emergency.
