Ideas

  • Member activities and messaging – Feed of new listings, events interested in, and direct messaging.
  • Groups – Platform for creating groups with their own threaded chat and events calendar.
  • Regional calendars – Aggregate events by region, allow subscription, and show on regional pages.
  • Q&A / Forums – including regional sections that would be linked from the regional guides.
  • Webviewer App – Add the PWA to the Play store.
  • Native App – The underlying platform supports affordable development of an Android and iOS native app. Idea is to crowdfund enough to buy this service.

  • 2022-11-15 Web App Add progressive webapp capabilities so site can be installed in a “kiosk” mode in most browsers.
  • 2022-11-15 Increased Functions and Filtering Add user notifications and account controls. Add filters to the directory browse section.
  • 2022-11-15 Jobs board A platform to connect freestater employers and employables. Job listings at linked to business listings.
  • 2022-06-22 Classifieds A listing platform for temporary items and gigs with a function to mark each item as sold, pending, or available.
  • 2022-06-15 Beta live MVP product is live offering a crowd-sourced business directory.
  • 2022-05-15 Alpha live Alpha of MVP is live with active development and testing happening on the live server. Listings are liable to be deleted as configuring is ongoing.
  • 2022-03-15 Research ends All elements of the project are defined and their solutions researched and ready to plan implementation.
  • 2021-08-01 Development begins Starts with a name, domain, assembling the feature set, and defining MVP goals.
