Convertible , manual transmission turbo. Currently registered and running. Passed inspection in March of this year. Has been registered/inspected every year. Still registered/running/on road now.

Air conditioning does not work. Not repairable. Heat is fine
Tire pressure sensors don’t work reliably.
Runs fine.

This was son’s car in high school that he got back in ~2017.
Note front grill damage from accident before he bought it. The VW logo is a 3d print that he did to replace original back when he got car.
